Informal education supporting formal educationThe National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) has a statement about the value of links between informal education institutions and schools. NSTA's 2005 Strategy Goals Document lists as Objective 2.3 (page 18) “Implement strategies to connect informal science education to the instructional needs of teachers of science.” A report for ASTC by Inverness Research Associates describes how informal science education institutions support schools.
